Brunch in Bristol

Every so often, we like to get out of Bath at the weekends and head to its much bigger sister, Bristol. We had all the intentions of having a cultural day at M Shed, the fantastic museum in the city centre. Sadly that all went out of the window when we decided that clothes shopping was more important. Autumn has crept up on me and my wardrobe isn’t coping well.

Since clothes shopping really isn’t my thing, I decided that the only way to get the day off to a good start would be to have an excellent brunch. Which is exactly what we did.

I’d been to the Brew Coffee Company before and vowed then to return and sample their brunch menu.

It was very tough to choose from, so I had two things, much to the amusement of the waiting staff.

First of all, granola with yoghurt and apple compote.

Followed by avocado, lime, feta and tomato smashed onto some sourdough toast. Delicious.

Alex was more restrained and had just one course, but boy what a course it was.

Smoked paprika scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, topped with chorizo. He pimped it up with some extra bacon. Obviously.

An eggcellent choice Alex (sorry, couldn’t help myself).

The perfect set up for a day of shopping.
